Joachim Froment is a Belgian designer and artist. He graduated from a Master degree at the Royal College of Art in Product Design. In 2017, he started his career as a designer and project manager for Skibsted Ideation in Copenhagen where he led projects for renowned furniture and transportation companies in Denmark such as Hay, Engelbrecths, Danfoss and Biomega. Joachim won a few design awards such as the Rado Star Design Prize during the London Design Festival in 2017 and the Bolia Design Prize in 2018.

Cédric holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton (UK) as well as a management degree from the UCLouvain (Belgium). He then went on to became an R&D engineer for next generation fiber products at Nokia. Cédric will guide you during your product development steps and ensure deliveries of the highest standards.

Guillaume graduated in Electrical Engineering from UCLouvain (Belgium). He then joined Nokia as an R&D engineer for next generation fiber products at Nokia before joining Dekimo as a hardware engineer in Leuven. Guillaume is our technical lead, guiding the development of your product from definition to production using his wide and precise engineering skills. His knowledge and passion for connected devices is one of our company’s key assets.

Louise holds a Bachelor and Master degree in business at Solvay and KULeuven. She also did a complementary Master in International Art Market at ICART. Before joining Futurewave, she worked on several projects such as the Brussels Architecture Prize at A+ architecture in Belgium or for Baranzate Ateliers where 23 designers from Zaventem Ateliers and others exposed during the Milan Design Week. She joined us to manage the marketing and communication department.

Graduated with a Bachelor and Master’s degree in industrial design, he has accumulated several professional experiences in the field of product and furniture design. He co-founded the design studio OGSB. He wants to develop products from the customer's idea to the industrial realization and thinks that designers have an essential role to play on the social, economic and ecological value in the development of a product.

Julian founded his own design studio in parallel to his studies at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. For several years he helped international clients shape products and build brands in numerous industries. After his return to Belgium, he joined Futurewave and its blooming team. His work is led by emotion and the thrive on developing unique design languages, founded on the user, appealing to all senses and simple in its use.

Quentin graduated as a Mechatronics engineer from UCLouvain in 2018. He started as a design engineer at Safran Aero Boosters where he was developing the next generation cryogenic valves for spacecraft application. Looking for a new thrilling experience, he joined FutureWave as an electromechanical engineer, working on the technical development of the products from idea to industrialization.

Wouter completed his bachelor’s degree in industrial design at ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels last year. Driven by people, products and the future, he is launching himself into the professional world of design at Futurewave. Gaining experience before starting his master’s degree.

Clara is the frenchy of the team. After studying object, space and cullinary design at ESAD de Reims, she obtained a master’s degree in industrial design at ENSAV La Cambre. She is passionate about machine technology and software and is always open to learn new things.

You are what you do, not what you say you are

He holds a master’s degree in Sciences of management at 'Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics' and a certification in interior design from 'The Interior Design Institute'. Last year he went to Mexico and worked as a Business developer at 'La Metropolitana', a Mexican studio of furniture design & production. This experience allowed him to create artistic products from wood waste and develop initiatives to revalue wasted materials but also increased the operational efficiency by rethinking internal processes. He wants to use design and materials to inspire and improve our society. Therefore, he wants to bring innovative and exciting clients on board, offer them the best #experience and take our processes to the next level ! And of course, have fun with everyone !

Pierre studied graphic design and industrial design at La Cambre. He completed his studies while working in various studios such as TAVU, Open Structures, and Atelier Lionel Jadot. With several years of experience in mural painting and hands-on work, he was able to sharpen his hand and eye, which greatly assists him in his current practice.

Wouter holds a Bachelor and a Master degree in Engineering at UHasselt and KULeuven. Last year he was part of Formula Electric Belgium, there he created the complete low voltage system of an electric formula student race car. Wouter wants to keep on learning while developing hightech products that work efficiently and reliably. Thus becoming a strong engineer and bringing an added value to the people around him. Finally, he will develop the electronics for the different projects at Futurewave. This includes defining functionality, making schematics, creating layouts, programming and testing.

Thoma started his studies in Architecture but switched over to Industrial Design. Before, he has designed for the lightning industry and managed brands in the cookware industry. At Futurewave, he will be more focused on taking the projects from the conceptual phase to reality, making sure the products are fit for production and ready to be launched into the market.

Cédric studied Electrical Engineering at the VUB/ULB before starting a 2,5 years PHD at the VUB. He has worked in different areas as firmware, PCB design, chip design, web servers, etc. In his free time, he has been working on projects, making him famous in Ghent: VUB-student ontwerpt intelligente estafettestokjes voor 12-urenloop. He also created from scratch a web application for a school where parents can register and pay for the meals of their children's. Finnaly, he won 2 prices in 2019 and 2020: First price for the Allianz Brussels Hackathon in 2019 and Best engineering thesis of 2019/2020 : fluorescence lifetime imaging is a novel way to detect cancer cells.

Marine studied Economics at UCL and developed an entrepreneurship angle by launching a startup called Drink A Flower (homemade low-sugar soft-drinks) and another project, taking part in the Startlab Incubator. Then she worked for 2.5 years at the well-known e-bike company Cowboy in the financial department. She joined Futurewave as the accounting and office Manager. Marine is also in contact with our suppliers and is responsible for keeping a great relationship with them. In her free-time she likes doing sport and travelling.

Giacomo De Paoli is an industrial designer working in the field of art and design. He grew up in the Italian Dolomites, spending a lot of time drawing and getting close to nature. He shaped his design approach growing up in his father’s workshop. He collaborates with companies and craftsmen to solve social and environmental issues. He creates new products by melding new technologies with timeless design. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Product Design and Multimedia from IUAV University of Venice. He gained practical experience doing an internship at Marco Zito Design Studio and working as an industrial designer at EvoTech. He later specialised in the product design department at the ECAL University of Lausanne.
