As Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for the imagination, development and validation of our product features. Located in Brussels, FutureWave is a team of 15 passionate people. We work in our own private office space and lab, surrounded by various prestigious designers and craftsman’s.
Main tasks
- Brainstorm and challenge our designers on new products, imagine and optimize their interactions and derive their functionalities
-Define the hardware architecture and the PCB components
- Work on the schematics and layout of PCBs (Altium Designer).
- Work on the low-level drivers of the different PCB.
- Test, validate and adapt the manufactured prototypes
- Support EMC/RED certifications with subcontractors
Knowledge and experience
- You have a strong experience with electronic products and PCB design
- You have experience applying EMC/RED guidelines for certifications
- You have valuable professional or side project experience using C/C++ for embedded software.
- You have a strong understanding in object oriented concepts.
- You have experience designing with connectivity (BLE, Cellular, Lora, Zigbee, etc.)
- Experience using Altium Designer is a plus
- You have knowledge in Python scripting
- Experience using git, Jenkins and docker containers is a plus.
Your profile
- A Master degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years’ experience in PCB design is a plus
- A passion for aesthetic and innovative technological products
- Result focused mindset, ability to drive the team to design impressive new products
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Excellent technical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory

General Description
- Lead community-building efforts and strengthen relationships with local stakeholders in Brussels, enhancing Futurewave’s brand presence.
- Plan, organize, and oversee virtual and in-person events aligned with business goals to drive community engagement.
- Develop and implement PR strategies to manage brand positioning, social media presence, and relationships with the press.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design and execute high-impact marketing campaigns that promote growth and community engagement.
- Foster partnerships and collaborations to co-host events, strengthening Futurewave’s business network.
- Provide mentorship to team members, focusing on skill enhancement in marketing, community building, and event management.
Main tasks
Resolution of Operational Difficulties:
- Address and resolve any issues related to community-building initiatives, events, and marketing campaigns to ensure smooth operations.
- Identify and implement necessary adjustments in strategies to ensure event success and the achievement of community engagement targets.
- Efficiently manage marketing processes related to event organization, PR, and social media to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Budget and Resources:
- Allocate time and resources effectively to ensure the successful execution of events and community-led initiatives within budget.
- Manage and oversee budgets for marketing activities, events, and PR initiatives to meet organizational goals.
Decisional Power:
- Make decisions on technical and logistical challenges related to event management, PR, and community activities with a high level of complexity.
- Take a leading role in delivering marketing and event strategies that meet Futurewave’s growth objectives, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and customer needs.
External Working Relationships:
- Collaborate closely with clients, community members, event partners, and local stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets to ensure effective PR and brand visibility.
Key Processes and Tools:
- Use Odoo and Notion to manage marketing projects, event planning, and community-building activities.
- Utilize Notion and Figma to document strategies, event plans, and marketing performance.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for documentation and presentations.
Knowledge and experience
- Experience managing social media and PR strategies for growing businesses.
- Proven track record of creating impactful partnerships and engaging with local communities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to engage with a diverse audience.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and manage external relationships.
- Experience in budget management for marketing and event activities.
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in community-building, event management, or PR, with a strong understanding of digital marketing.
- Fluency in English (C1), and French (Dutch is a plus).
- Proven experience in community-building, event management, and PR.

- Communicate with customers and plan projects
- Lead design and drawing review for all mechanical sub-modules
- Support the industrial design team to design new concepts and evaluate technical feasibility by rapid prototyping
- Develop, test and validate amazing features with a focus on User Experience and usability
