‍About the role

As a Communication Intern, you will be responsible for enhancing Futurewave’s presence on social media, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn. You will create engaging content that showcases our work, culture, and innovation, helping to grow our digital community.

This role is perfect for a creative individual who enjoys photography, social media management, and storytelling. If you’re passionate about branding and digital engagement, this internship will provide hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Additionally, we love people who take ownership, we want you to be proactive and a true doer!

What you’ll do

• Develop and execute a content strategy for Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Capture high-quality photos and behind-the-scenes content to showcase Futurewave’s projects and team.
• Design visually appealing posts, stories, and videos to engage our audience.
• Write compelling captions and optimize content for engagement and reach.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to improve social media strategies.
• Engage with our community by responding to comments and messages.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and strategists to highlight Futurewave’s work and culture.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking someone who is:

• Creative and visually oriented, with a passion for content creation.
• Proficient in photography and able to take and edit high-quality images.
• Skilled in social media platforms (Instagram & LinkedIn) and understands current trends.
• A strong communicator, both in writing and visually.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
• Familiar with design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere Pro is a plus).
• Interested in technology, engineering, and product design.
• Takes ownership and is proactive – we love people who take initiative and get things done.
• Fluent in English, French and Dutch.
• Possesses good writing skills in all three languages.

Minimum qualifications:

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Communication, Marketing, Digital Media or a related field.
• Experience managing social media pages (personal projects, university initiatives, or previous internships are great!).
• Basic knowledge of content analytics and engagement strategies.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with photography and photo editing tools.
• Interest in design, technology, or innovation.
• Basic understanding of SEO and LinkedIn algorithms.

We are looking for a talented Product Engineer, who can apply his/her knowledge andskills on innovative technological products. As Product Engineer, you will beresponsible for the imagination, development and validation of our product electro-mechanicaldesign. You will join a multidisciplinary team working together on outstanding productsand experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Brainstorm on new products, imagine and optimize their interactions and derivetheir functionalities
• Translate the product features into mechanical hardware implementation
• Design the products components and chose their manufacturing process
• Work in close contact with the manufacturers to setup and validate serial production
• Develop, test and validate using rapid prototyping techniques (3Dprinting, CNC machining, manual tools, ..)

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is:

• Result focused mindset, ability to drive the team to design impressive new products
• Excellent with technical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Passionate about aesthetic and innovative technological products
• Fluent in English

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering
• You have a strong experience in mechanical design
• You have experience in product development
• You have valuable professional or side project experience using CAD software(Solidworks, Fusion 360, Catia, ..).
• You have experience in 2D drawing, knowledge about mechanical & industrialtolerances

Preferred Qualifications:

• You have experience in industrial manufacturing process (Injection molding, sheetmetal, extrusion, ..), an industrial partner network is a plus
• Experience in electronics hardware and programming is a plus

About us

FutureWave is a fast-growing Belgian agency tightly combining creative designers and engineers. We help organizations imagine, design and develop physical products that stand out. From idea to production, we focus the design and development of products on innovation, aesthetics, interactions and performances.

Located in Brussels, FutureWave is a team of 15 passionate people. We work in our own private office space and lab, surrounded by various prestigious designers and craftsman’s.

Main tasks

- Brainstorm and challenge our designers on new products, imagine and optimize their interactions and derive their functionalities

-Define the hardware architecture and the PCB components

- Work on the schematics and layout of PCBs (Altium Designer).

- Work on the low-level drivers of the different PCB.

- Test, validate and adapt the manufactured prototypes

- Support EMC/RED certifications with subcontractors

Knowledge and experience

- You have a strong experience with electronic products and PCB design

- You have experience applying EMC/RED guidelines for certifications

- You have valuable professional or side project experience using C/C++ for embedded software.

- You have a strong understanding in object oriented concepts.

- You have experience designing with connectivity (BLE, Cellular, Lora, Zigbee, etc.)

- Experience using Altium Designer is a plus

- You have knowledge in Python scripting

- Experience using git, Jenkins and docker containers is a plus.

Your profile

- A Master degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering

- 2+ years’ experience in PCB design is a plus

- A passion for aesthetic and innovative technological products

- Result focused mindset, ability to drive the team to design impressive new products

- Excellent verbal and communication skills

- Excellent technical, analytical and problem solving skills

- Fluency in English is mandatory
